Your Camp Vibe Tees shirt is made with the Comfort Colors® 1717 heavyweight garment-dyed fabric, known for its soft feel and lived-in look. Following these care guidelines will help preserve both the color and the printed design for years to come.
Washing
-
Use cold water only (maximum 30°C / 90°F). Hot water can cause pigment dye to bleed and may stress the cotton fibers.
-
Select a gentle or delicate cycle to reduce unnecessary wear.
-
Turn the shirt inside out before washing. This is especially important for preserving the printed design, as it minimizes friction against other garments.
-
Wash with like colors. For the first few washes, wash separately. Pigment-dyed garments may release excess dye initially.
Detergent
Use a mild, bleach-free detergent. Avoid chlorine bleach, optical brighteners, or harsh chemicals, as they can fade the rich pigment and weaken the fabric over time.
Drying
-
Tumble dry on low heat only.
-
For best longevity, air drying is recommended.
The Comfort Colors 1717 tee is pre-shrunk during the garment dye and wash process, so shrinkage at home should be minimal when properly cared for.
About the Dye Process
Pigment-dyed colors are designed to create a vintage, broken-in appearance that lasts for the life of the garment. Slight shade variations are normal and part of the garment-dye character.
Taking a little extra care — especially washing in cold water and turning the shirt inside out — will help maintain both the softness and the design you chose it for.
